Ability to filter subitems in List View widget in Dashboards

Description

Would love to be able to filter subitems columns in the new (beta) List View widget in Dashboards.

The new List View widget is great because it allows us to list things by date in 1 view from multiple boards - something we’ve wanted for a long time. Trouble is, we use subitems a lot and we can’t filter those at all. This compromises the use of the List View.

Example - I have a List View widget set up to show me all overdue items across multiple boards. It doesn’t filter any subitems, though, so my options are to either (1) not include any subitems in the list view, or (2) the list view will display all subitems, regardless of their status. Not helpful, either way.

Is this already on the roadmap? (realize it might be since this widget is currently in beta)

What are you trying to achieve

the ability to filter subitems in List View widget in Dashboards so I can filter which subitems are included in the view.

hi @cbrunskill! Yeah, that’s a huge limitation right now - the List View widget still doesn’t handle subitems properly.
If you need cross-board visibility with subitems and filters that actually work, try Time in Status for monday.com .
It lets you include both items and subitems in one view, filter them by status/date/user, and even generate time-based reports. Super handy if you rely on subitems a lot, especially when you’re trying to track overdue tasks or workload across multiple projects.

Thanks! This sounds great - we’re really hoping to see this added to the built-in Monday.com widget, though. I don’t currently have budget to expand to add any paid add-ins.
