Ability to turn Updates and replies into items or subitems

I’d like to be able to quickly turn conversations into action items. By incorporating a dropdown and/or pop-up when hovering, I’d like to have the option to quickly turn an Update or a reply into a new item. See screenshots for examples. This is frequently needed for me.
