I was informed that Monday removed the “Generate an AI report” for dashboards at the end of January.
This feature was useful because it generated a report in a Monday doc with editable text and screenshots of the charts.
Although the AI-generated text was not always accurate, it was not difficult to revise.
I was advised that an alternative is to export the dashboard as a PDF. However, this is not as useful. The PDF does not include text. In addition, I can’t remove screenshots that aren’t relevant, like I could with Monday’s AI-generated report.
AI reporting is still supported in Docs. You can add widgets to a Doc to recreate the same report layout, then use AI in the Doc to generate summaries and insights.
Alternatively, you can connect monday.com to Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT and generate the report there - this works great for more detailed or customized reporting.
Hello @Bree Totally get it. monday did sunset the “Generate an AI report” for dashboards around end of January, and there isn’t a true 1:1 replacement yet.
The closest workaround is using a monday Doc and embedding the dashboard or individual widgets, then adding editable text. You can also use monday AI inside the Doc to draft or refine the summary, and remove or rearrange visuals as needed.
PDF export is still available, but as you noted, it’s static and not very flexible.
For now, submitting feedback is the best way to push for a return of the AI report feature, since a lot of teams relied on it for exactly this use case.
