I’m so excited to share this milestone with you - the monday Apps Marketplace is now in open beta This means you can enable it and install apps in your account!
The monday Apps Marketplace is where you can find monday Apps to extend what your monday.com account can do. You can install an app that adds a specific integration, unlocks new visualizations through board views and widgets, and combinations of these.
The marketplace is currently in beta testing, and the apps featured in it have been built by external developers (not the monday.com team).
Here’s how you enable the marketplace and install apps:
Step 1: Enable the monday Apps Marketplace (beta)
To access the monday Apps Marketplace, you will need to first enable it in monday.labs. Once enabled, you’ll be able to access the Marketplace from your avatar menu:
Note: Although all apps in our marketplace are reviewed by our team for functionality and security, monday.com does not endorse or certify any apps – therefore, you should only install apps you trust.
Step 2: Browse the apps in the marketplace
The marketplace contains a number of apps, organized into categories. You can also search for apps based on their title or functionality. You can click on each app to learn more about the features it will add to your monday.com account.
Step 3: Review an app’s functionality
When you click on an app, you can learn more about its features and the team that built it. This section also has the contact information of the developers who built it, in case you need support installing or using the app.
Step 4: Install the app
When you’re ready to install an app, click the install button in the top right of the App Information page.
Note: Installing apps can only be done by admins on the account.
When you install an app, you will see a list of permissions that the app will have access to. From there click on “Install” at the bottom of the screen as shown below:
Step 5: Use the app!
Now that you’ve installed the app, its features are ready to use on your boards and dashboards. The app’s features will appear as options at the bottom of the views, widgets, or integrations center. For example, a board view app would look like this in the views center:
Are external apps secure?
While apps in our marketplace are reviewed by our team, they are built by external developers. Therefore, we cannot certify the functionality or security of each app. They are use-at-your-own-risk.
When you install an app, you will see a list of permissions that the app will have access to. Please review these permissions to understand what data an app can access from your account.
