Archiving Cyclic Projects without Losing the board

I use projects in Monday Work Management to manage development of products. The products undergo a 2 year revision cycle and then rest for 2-3 years before we start them again. In order to update the new milestones but keep the old data my thought is that I must duplicate each board, archive the original board, and then update the milestones in the copy. Is there a better way to do this? I am trying not to have to recreate the board or change names on the projects. Thanks.

Which product (CRM/Work Management, etc) and level (Pro/Enterprise) do you have?

Work management, Pro. Thanks. I need to remember to add that as there are big differences between pro and enterprise.

Definitely! It helps to know to answer cleanly. About how many of these boards are you ‘reactivating’ at a time?

One per month, occasionally two per month. For context each board represents a “text book”. The portfolio is approximately 15 books. Each should never be more than five years old.

What about using subitems off the items for each ‘revision’? That way you can see over time the changes? Or set automations to duplicate a group that’s a template of tasks and the previous tasks would be in a ‘done group’?

Thanks. I will play with both of those options.
