It would be great when setting up mirror columns to auto match already, so we don’t have to manually match them. This kind of defeats the purpose and doesn’t allow for true automation. It still requires manual intervention.
When creating mirror columns allow the user to auto-match text by selecting "Matches Exactly or “Contains” so we don’t have to manually select a match.

You can try the Mirror Item Multiple Boards app.
It allows you to add the same item to multiple boards with regular columns. So you don’t need to use Mirror Columns or connect boards at all!
