Is anyone familiar with the Subitems Automation app? I added it based on another forum post, but it doesn’t seem to be able to do what I’ve been told it can do. When I move an item from one group to another on the same board, I want to automate it to then delete or archive the subitems, as I don’t need them anymore once I’ve moved the item. Thoughts?

Yes! The Subitems Automation app in Monday.com is great for handling subitems, but it has limitations when it comes to deleting or archiving subitems automatically. Since Monday.com doesn’t natively support this action, here’s a workaround using Make.com
Watch for an item being moved to a new group.
Use the API to list all subitems of the moved item.
Automatically delete or archive those subitems based on your preference.
This will give you full control over your subitems when an item is moved. Let me know if you’d like help setting this up!

You can try using our Subitems Pro Automations app. With this app you can configure a custom automation that will delete or archive all subitems when item is moved to another group (or any other available trigger!):

I actually found out from a demo call that I was using a defunct “Subitem Automations” app, and now have the “Special Automations” app, and everything worked as needed. You really shouldn’t have the defunct apps still available if we can’t actually use them.
