I want to create an Automation where when a certain date is approaching notify the people assign in the people column 3 months before the date, but when i was setting up the automation I couldn’t select the people column. what should I do?

This is likely due to the new automation layout in monday.com. There’s no separate “Column” option anymore when setting up the automation.
Instead, when you click notify someone, hover over People. You should then see your People columns listed with a single-person icon next to them. These will appear using the column names from your board.
For example, on my board I see options like:

Item’s Leadership Team Sponsor
-
Item’s Business Sponsor
-
Item’s Initiative Lead
These are all People columns, just shown a bit differently now. Try selecting the relevant one from there, and you should be able to notify the assigned people 3 months before the date as expected.
