Automations that create new entries and I can't move over mirrored column

The situation is that I am changing the status of an entities application to accepted. This automation creates an entry in the entity dues where I should be able to show that the entity due belongs to the mirrored Entity column from the entity application board. When I create this trigger - the mirrored column isn’t shown as an option to map to.

Boards:

  • Entity
  • Entity Application
  • Entity Dues

Entity application has a mirrored column where it belongs to an “Entity”
Entity dues has a mirrored column where it belong to an “Entity”

This is because you can never map to connect Boards columns/mirror columns.

You would need to use the automation recipe: create and item and link Boards.

This will allow you to create an item in entities due and link it to the entity application Board.

When setting up the automation you will need to select the Connect Boards column

Hi @shayan.moussawi thanks. I don’t think what I want is possible this way.
The application has a connected board for that shows the company. If the application is accepted, I want to create an item in membership history that retains that link to the company board.

Then you need to use the Match Automation.

First create a Text column in Application Board called Company Name.

Then when creating an application fill that Text column with the company name.

Then add a Match automation to the Application Board: „When item created and company name in Application matches name in entity connect items“

This should achieve a result that works
