On one of my boards, I use an intake form whenever we create a new training event. We have functional teams who create CEs or communications related to this event, so I create a task in their boards (through automation) as soon as the event is created in the form. I do this, so they can plan upcoming work. However, they will need to wait until I am at a certain point with event management to start their work on that specific item. Today, I trigger a notification when that status change occurs. If I could BOTH notify that user AND set a due date on the pre-existing task on their board, that would be awesome.
Hi @jpostich - When you create the task on thier board (via automation), if you set a connection between the two boards you could mirror a Due Date from the source board to the user board. If mirroring isn’t an option, you could also create a quick make.com scenario or utilize a 3rd party app to copy the value from a mirror column to a local column (we like to use Column Magic for this if make.com isnt an option).
The key is there needs to be connection between them, then you have some options
Hope this helps!
