What are you trying to achieve
I want to be able to either add multiple users to the peoples column at once OR have the automation option to send notifications to only the newly added users.
I can definitely see how this would be helpful, especially when managing larger teams.
At the moment, when multiple people are added to a People column, automations that notify “assigned people” typically trigger for everyone currently in the column, not just the newly added individuals. There isn’t a native option to limit the notification to only the new additions.
A couple of workarounds you might explore:
• Use an automation like “When column changes, notify someone” and structure your workflow so assignments happen in stages rather than all at once.
• Add a helper Status column such as “Assignment updated” and trigger notifications off that change instead of directly from the People column.
• If you’re using item creation automations, notify assigned people at creation time rather than on every change.

thank you for your reply! Even with our small team of 6, this is handy. We have multiple projects which will have more than one team member spread over different parts of the project. Some just need to know about this project. Currently, we will just leave it without the email notification.
