We are working on an automated proposal/contract signing workflow with the following steps:
STEP 1: Create a Word document template with Monday.com column placeholders, where data from Monday.com is dynamically inserted. STEP 2: Generate the contract when the “Create Contract” button is clicked in Monday.com (this is successfully handled using DocuGen). STEP 3: Send an E-Sign invite when the “Send Contract” button is clicked, triggering an email to the client associated with the item. STEP 4: Track the signing process in real-time, ensuring the client is directed to sign at a designated placeholder at the bottom of the document and receiving a notification upon completion.
We are facing challenges with Steps 3 & 4 in finding a suitable E-Signature platform that:
Allows placement of signing placeholders at a specific location in the document.
Automatically directs the client to sign at the assigned placeholders.
Supports real-time tracking of the signing process within or outside Monday.com.
We have tried several platforms, including GetSign, SignNow, PandaDoc, and Adobe Sign, but none have met our exact requirements.
Has anyone successfully implemented a similar workflow, or can recommend an E-Signature platform that integrates well with Monday.com and supports these features?
Any guidance or recommendations would be highly appreciated!
I’m pretty certain Docugen would help with that. As of now, I’ve only used the ‘generate’ portion of their app but they do also have a ‘signature’ portion. Couldn’t hurt to check it out.
I have this exact same use case, and we have been using GetSign for about 2 years now. Excellent product, excellent service. I’m surprised that you have had trouble with it - we use it and it works great for your steps 3 and 4 without any issue.
Can you elaborate a bit on the issues you’re running into?
@Timothy7 Looks like GetSign is the right solution for you. It let’s you use DOCx as a template, Generate contracts, send e-sign invites and track the proccess in real time - WIth GetSign you can use signign place holders and have recipients sign the contract in easy to use mobile and desktop experience. GetSign is the top ranked, secured and safe electronic signature solution and widely used by many happy customers. GetSign has a team of solution consultants you can meet and configure until you Electronic signature solutions is ready to go and the pricing is very competitive.
We have implemented the use of PandaDoc with our Monday.com. We sign contracts where multiple parties sign. Of course, we set up our templates. Then, I set up a board that feeds the data into it. Then I added a form to that. The form/board entries auto-populate into the template document copy, and then we have the option to send a link or email directly. What was not working with PandaDoc for you @Nir-Jetpack?
we can integrate a robust e-signature solution that perfectly aligns with Monday.com. The key here is to use an e-signature platform that allows precise placement of signing fields, real-time tracking, and seamless automation within Monday.com. Based on your requirements, here’s the plan:
Use Make.com or Zapier to connect Monday.com with an e-signature platform like DocuSign, SignRequest, or HelloSign ensuring that when the “Send Contract” button is clicked, an invite is triggered.
*Predefine signature fields using templates, so clients are directed to sign at the correct placeholders.
Enable real-time status tracking by syncing e-signature events (e.g., document viewed, signed, completed) back into Monday.com using webhooks or API connections.
Hi all, we too have the exact same use case and have struggled with part is this.
We have used docugen for all steps.
But maybe the posters original challenge is the same one we have.
When you use a dynamic contract builder to generate off the template, the document sometimes gets shorter or longer than the template with the data entered in those fields (they aren’t fixed width fields, they are dynamic so adjust based on the data). This then causes the signature field / line to move around, then having the exact spot not line up anymore.
Is this what some of you have fully solved with docugen or this other platform above noted?
But Docugen signatures are not legally binding, it don’t provide the certification. In place of thet you can try BoloSign, as it integrates with monday smoothly. You can find it on Monday Marketplace.
My company uses both GetSign and DocuGen Sign. Both have automations for sending the invitation. GetSign has the ability of placing placeholders in the contract so you don’t need the extra DocuGen steps and columns for first generating the contract.
GetSign has great features that beats all others and has a great price point; however, it breaks down way too often. I’ve contacted their support team at least once a month over the last 8 months, which is obviously not ideal.
DocuGen Sign, which is DocuGen’s signature feature on the Item level (I think there’s a board level as well), is a very simplistic solution. It has just enough features to be usable for signatures. It has all the features you are looking for. However, you’ll still need the steps for DocuGen’s document creation (which you already do). Additionally, you’ll need to increase your subscription as signatures equals 5 document creations. This can get very expensive.
For your use case, I recommend DocuGen Sign.
You can continue using your existing DocuGen document creation process—just make sure the generated document is saved in a Files column.
With DocuGen Sign, you’ll also be able to:
Configure item-level settings to reference the correct generated document in the Files column
Track each contract individually
Support multiple signees
Attach a certification addendum to the signed document
Ensure each signee receives a copy of the signed contract
Send clients directly to the signing experience
Automatically place the signed document into a Files column (I recommend using a separate Files column from the generated document)
