We tried to transfer an item from Board X to Board Y. Each column of different types has been connected to its counterpart; however, the File columns, even with the same name, are not able to transfer the files between them.

Hi @Javier, which product plan you’re using? I tried this on Work Management, and it seems to be working on my side. Also, could you share the file type and file size you’re uploading in the File column?

We’re using Work Management – Pro.
The file type we’re trying to upload is a PDF, and its size is under 1 MB.
@JavierTech, This is interesting. Is the issue happening with a specific file, or do all PDFs behave the same way? Also, does Board B have multiple File columns? When you move the item from Board A to Board B, do you get the prompt to map the columns? If so, have you tried mapping the File columns between the boards?

Using the app, you can copy, move, rename, and sync files between items and boards.
For your use case, you can create an automation recipe using the app, map the column(source and destination Files column), and the file(s) will be copied.
Thank you for your recommendation, but I don’t think it is professional for a CRM like Monday.com to use another third-party app when the CRM itself has the capability to move items between different boards, to columns with the same content. Instead of paying for another app, they should try to resolve these issues within the platform.
