THIS IS A NEED. I have a dashboard that connects multiple boards together (we use the Calendar view) and I just need the calendar to be color coded by board BUT it randomly assigns colors that don’t go great with our brand. I also think there is a flaw because when you select “One By One” “Color By” - it doesn’t actually allow me to color one by one (for example if for 1 board I want to color by Status but for another board I want to color just by the board…it won’t let me actually do that and it changes it for all). BIG FLAW!!
What are you trying to achieve
FIND A SOLUTION because this is a problem and makes no sense.
Your best bet here is that hopefully one of the numerous calendar add-ons in the App Marketplace has the extra configuration you need. If you get very lucky, some of the people that make those will see this and maybe one will point out that their product has the particular ability you’re looking for. Otherwise, you might have to make your way through trying a bunch of them. There appear to be dozens of calendar-related add-ons available.
Allow you to pick a fixed colour for those boards.
Since all boards now have status columns, you can combine it with a “colour by status” for the other boards.
This is the result in Calendar Plus, but it works in monday’s own calendar just fine:
Lastly, if very specific brand colors are important, you can perform the same trick with the Color picker column type. This will only work with Calendar Plus, though, as it supports coloring by color picker, and mixing with different column types, like the status column.
