Calendar view is switching to the main table when I try to add to the conversation.

I’m having an issue in one of my boards. I use this board as a content calendar for social media posts because my company does not have a social media scheduling software and already uses Monday.com to track the other general marketing tasks. I’ve set the calendar up at the first of the year, and it’s been working nicely to track approvals and progress for all posts. Unfortunately there was an update in April and I seem to be seeing a change in my workflow now. see below the steps I take and the problem I am having:

When I am in a card (post) on the Calendar view and I go to the (3) ellipses and click on “Start conversation” or “Add to conversation” to add a comment to the card, it automatically switches my view to the main table.

This is interrupting my workflow and making it less efficient since I only use the calendar view when I’m in this board, making me then go back into the calendar view to get back to the post to complete other tasks associated with it.

I’ve chatted with Monday.com support and they informed me that this is how it’s supposed to function, with the thought behind it as it’ll allow me to see everything included in it. I do not need to see everything in a table view, that is why I chose the calendar view to work out of.

There is no way to make the calendar view the default view even though I am the board owner.

I would like this to revert back to staying on the calendar view when I click on “Start conversation” or “Add to conversation.”

If I understand correctly, a simple workaround could be using two browser tabs — one for the Calendar view and another for the Table view to keep track of updates.

Alternatively, if you’re open to optimizing your workflow, Checkout Publisher an app from the Monday Marketplace.
It allows you to manage and automate your social media scheduling directly from your board, and it features a dedicated Social Media Calendar view for enhanced visibility. :backhand_index_pointing_down:
