Calendar View to only show some sub-items

Hi,

I want to have a calendar that shows all my project kickoff dates.

My data is organised on one board, each line is a project and each project has a number of sub-projects. Each sub project has the same milestones but with different names for identification (e.g. Project 1 Kickoff, Project 2 Kickoff etc).

So it looks a bit like…

Project 1
Project 1 Kickoff Date 1st Feb
Project 1 Development 10th Feb to 10th March
Project 1 Testing 11th March to 30th March
Project 1 Completion Date 1st April
Project 2
Project 2 Kickoff Date 11th Feb
Project 2 Development 11th Feb to 20th March
Project 2 Testing 21st March to 10th April
Project 2 Completion Date 11th April

What I want to see is a calendar that only shows events for the Kickoff Dates, so this would have only the two dates, 1st Feb and 11th Feb. Ideally I’d like to be able to set the calendar to show multiple date types (Kickoff, Completion) on the calendar.

This can be the calendar widget or calendar view.

Can this be done please? Anyone got an ideas?

Hi David,

What I’d recommend is setting up a new column in your main list specifically for Kickoff Dates. Then, if you want to add Completion Dates or any other milestones later on, just repeat the process for those too.

Once you’ve got these columns set up, configure the calendar widget or view to display events based on this column (or columns).
