I am trying to mirror the very first column on my board, labeled tactic with the discussion bubble to the right, to another board. We are trying to share this information from a project board where the updates are placed in the discussion bubble to a roadmap board which has greater visibility across the organization. I have not figure out how to allow Monday.com to let me select this field as a mirror option.
You’d use a connected column for that. Then the connected name is ‘clickable’ and easy access to the updates in the ‘discussion bubble’.

Hello @lbeyer13452 This is expected behavior in monday.com.
The Updates section the discussion bubble is not a column, so it cannot be mirrored or selected in a Mirror column. Only actual data columns can be mirrored.
Best alternatives are to link the items so viewers can click into the source item and read the full Updates thread, or to add a Long Text or Status column for summary level notes and mirror that instead.
There is currently no way to sync the Updates feed itself between boards.

In monday.com, you cannot directly mirror the “Updates” section (the discussion bubble) because it is a platform feature rather than a standard data column. Mirror columns are designed to sync discrete data points like status, dates, or text fields, but they do not support the threaded communication stream found in the updates feed.
To achieve your goal of sharing these updates on a roadmap board, you can use the “Combine boards” or “Connect boards” cross-board automation. Alternatively, many teams use a “Last Update” app from the E-ZPassKY monday marketplace or a simple automation that copies the text of a new update into a standard “Long Text” column. You can then mirror that Long Text column to your roadmap board to ensure the latest information is visible across the organization.
