Although the Activity log will show who changes a column entry, I’ve had a request from above to change a people column to whoever changed the date column via automation. I haven’t sen anything clearly doing this in the canned automations. Can anyone suggest a solution?
You can set up an automation to change the assignee when a date column is modified. Just go to your board, click “Automate,” select the date column as the trigger, and specify the new assignee in the action. This will help you track who made the change.
This seems to work by the avatar for the user who made the change does not stay displayed in the people column.
Automation used is:
When Target Install (w/o) changes
Then Assign (replace) someone as Install Update
