A feedback we get from many of our users is the option to change an existing column to our app column - for example a status column to a workflow column.
Why? If they have an existing flow that they would like to upgrade with our column they need to do the following -
- Create a new column - Easy
- Transfer all the labels - We found our own solution for that but it is also pretty limited since the colors or the labels are different)
- Transfer all existing values - We tried to build a solution for that, but we are limited by the API to update ~150 items per minute so it makes it super slow.
- Change all automations - Can be problematic in big flows
If there will be an “change column type” that also keeps the id it will solve all issues.
Also if we will be added to the existing “change column type” it will solve issues 2 and 3 but not issue number 4 since the existing change column type also change the column idIs that something you can add easily? At least being added to the existing “Change column type”?
