Connect Item and Subitem in different boards

In board A, I have a list of speakers (name, title, company, head shot etc…) . In board B, I have a list of events (London, Paris, Rome etc …). Under each event, I have speakers as sub items, these are the same individuals as those on board A.

What I want to do is maintain a database of speakers that will serve as the single source of truth while also connecting it to the sub-items beneath each event in board B.

I am using Super Forms in board A to enable speakers to update their own information as necessary.

Speakers will update information such as presentation titles or headshots. This item needs to be linked from board A as the database to board B the events, where a connection is established between the sub-item in B and the item in A as they are the same person.

Does this make sense? Is anyone doing anything similar?

That sounds like it should work perfectly, are you running into an issue?

Hi Leanne, you will just need to connect and mirror the information from Board A on Board B. So create your Connect, and Mirror Columns on Board/s B. Unfortunately matching automations (that automatically connect items across boards based on a value such as ‘Name’ of the item) don’t work with subitems yet, but if you are open to using apps then subitem automations may have what you need.
