I need some help. I have an Accounts board with a Primary Vendor column that is connected to the Vendors board. In the Vendor board there is a “type” drop-down in which we categorize our vendors. I would like the Accounts “Primary Vendor” column to only show the items from the Vendors board who are listed a specific category. Is there a way to do that?
You could add a mirror column to your accounts board that pulls the vendor category and then create an board view filtered for that type.
Thanks for your responts @dmccarthy22710. That would work for viewing but I am hoping to make it easier for users when selecting the EHR vendor that they can are limited to only those labele as a specific category otherwise they get the full list. My only other though is to build a duplicate board with the cateory separated but was hoping to avoid that if possible.
This doesn’t limit their options - but you could split your vendor categories into groups? Then when they select a vendor, they can make sure they’re choosing from the right group.
