Create a date field that restricts the earliest date a user can select

This may already be possible! Apologies if so.

A field on every form we will use will be Due Date. We would like to gray out or in some other way not allow the user to select a date, say, less than a week from submission. Thank you!

Hi guys,

I work in a design team who receive a huge amount of requests each week. This means we are dealing with very tight deadlines and often not enough lead time to achieve.

My question is, in Form View, is there a way to restrict the due date selection to be no less than 5 business days (Monday-Friday) – meaning each request submitted cannot have a due date of less than 5 days from the submission date?

Appreciate any help on this – it is actually a vital inclusion for us as we weigh up whether or not to sign up with Monday.com (everything else is amazing).

Cheers,
Aaron

Great idea - this would be very useful.

Also open to a workaround for this. One suggestion was to create a dropdown column that house upcoming dates and I would just need to delete the dates less than 5 days from now which is a very manual approach and also means automations surrounding due dates would no longer work.

Hey! Did you ever hear anything more about this or figure out a better work around? I’m struggling with the same thing.

YESSSS! This is exactly what I am looking for. And given that it’s over 2 years old, probably not happening.

We use monday.com forms to receive applications from prospective employees. We allow them to choose the earliest date they are available to start working for us; however, from a database normalization standpoint, and to limit errors in our boards, there should be an option to block users from choosing a date in the past.

This would be so helpful! I would love to put some restriction on what date they cane pick (like more than 7 business days from today)
