Date auto-sort not working

Has anyone else experienced the sort filter sporadically not working? We have views saved in our boards that have the sort filter set to auto-sort by date, but when we change a date or move a task or create a new task, the auto-sort seems to sporadically work/not work. We often have to manually sort to get everything in proper chronological order. Anyone else?

I was having that issue yesterday, but haven’t noticed it today. Is it a new concern for you or ongoing?

Ongoing since the auto-sort became available. We frequently re “save” the sorting too, but it will still occasionally not re-sort on its own. It’s weird. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to when/why it works or doesn’t.

Is it possible someone on the team is overriding it? What are your boards permission settings?

only board owners can change/save the sort order. There are only 2 board owners - I’m one of them, and we’re the ones who are spot checking and manually re-sorting when needed when we’re in there. Low likelihood that one of us is the one putting things out of order.

Other team members can create new tasks and change dates, move tasks, etc. which is where things start getting out of order, but then the auto-sort should kick in and re-sort anything new, changed, or moved chronologically by date according to the sort filter.

I’d recommend reaching out to Monday Support, sounds like a possible glitch.
