I set up some automations in place where when a sales stage is updated, in this case the deal has moved to an invoice, that the forecasting status should update to “Most Likely”
And I added a Deal Stages widget as well that you can visually see this at the top, as later I was planning to hide the Forecast status column and use the Deal Stage as a progress tracker
However, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t properly update with the automation as you can see from the image. The Sales stage when to invoice and the forecast category changed from Committed to Most Likely. But Deals Stage widget didn’t change at all. I’ve also noticed this when a deal is completed “Closed/Won” that the sales stage goes to closed, sales status goes to won, and forecast goes to committed… but the Deal Stage widget takes forever to update. Sometimes I have to close then re-open.
@JFergus I recommend flagging that to support. If set up correctly it should be in complete sync with the column it’s tied to. They’ll want to fix identify and fix whatever that issue might be
Curious to know if you are on Enterprise? If support can’t find and answer it could just be a few things such as bad connection, server location, old computer (would recommend 16GB Ram or more these days), browser issue (latest version of Chrome is recommended), or too many items/boards/automations/columns/integrations (upgrades to monday DB should help with this).

I have 4 total boards
I have a total of 46 automation in all 4 boards, 24 are active. (22 automations in the deals board, of which only 11 are active and being used)
It says I have 85 integrations installed yet when I look at “Connections” there are only 4 and they won’t even let me delete them
I have a total of 79 items in the deals board
I have 100 columns in deals board
This is just the main workstation, this isn’t counting the Sandbox workstation I setup as well but its just the mondayCRM default so nothing major was added
Was monday support able to fix the issue? The 85 integrations sounds like its just automation connections with Emails and Activities. Small chance that 100 columns may be the reason (quite a lot on a single board in my experience, though you can have up to 500), or if you are on the other side of the world compared to your monday server location.
I cut down on columns significantly now after our team decided which ones we don’t need but so far still an issue. But now I’m able to 100% repeat it. The automation updates but the progress bar doesn’t. I have to close out of the deal and re-open for the bar to catch up. Otherwise it never will.
Update: So updated google chrome browser, incognito mode, and a different browser (Firefox) made no difference. Status updates on the Deal Stage widget but only after you close and re-open the widget view for the deal item.
You know I didn’t even try this on my end until now (embarrassing). Its an oversight in the sync speed it looks like as it happens with standard Deal Stage on any Opp board. One way is immediate, the other is not.
