Hi Everyone. I would like to duplicate items (or rather multiply) based on a QTY field. Usecase:
Inventory Management: A donor donates 3 couches, I would like to book out each couch individually. Currently my solution is to duplicate the item just before I want to allocate it out and then change both of the QTY’s. I would be amazing if it could be duplicated based on the QTY field when created
Hi@waynejustonechesed ,
There is no built-in feature in monday.com to duplicate items based on a quantity field when created, but there are a few workarounds you can use automation or there are a number of third-party integrations available for monday.com that can help you to duplicate items based on a quantity field.
For example, the monday.com to Google Sheets integration can be used to create a spreadsheet that contains the data from your monday.com board. You can then use a formula in the spreadsheet to duplicate the rows based on the quantity field.

Hi Wayne,
this would be possible with native functionality- should be able to avoid most apps and integrations. It would be a multi-board solution though.
Happy to jump on a call and show you how it could work. Shoot me an email and we can set up a time
