I noticed that i cannot edit updates created using my laptop on my mobile (using the app), but it does work the other way around (i can edit updates that were created on the phone, both on my laptop and also on the phone). i think that the user should have the same editing options across all devices. thanks.

You’re not doing anything wrong. This is a current limitation of the monday.com mobile app.
Updates created on desktop can’t always be edited from mobile, while updates created on mobile are usually editable everywhere. The mobile app has a more limited update editor, so the experience isn’t fully consistent yet.
If this is important for your workflow, it’s worth submitting as a feature request so the product team can see the need.
