Email notification and links not working / Anyone else get these errors?

Does anyone else receive errors when they try to click on links that come in emailed conversations via Monday.com?

In this example, I received an email letting me know the update on a task. When I try to (1) click the Like button, it gives me an error (2) about the “target” not being set.
Yes, I’ve already submitted a problem ticket/request and held many calls with support, but there was no resolution. So, I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I do not get this with any other system, tool, or vendor that I work with, so it is strange to be happening only with Monday.com emails.

Hello @ScottC This is a known limitation with monday.com email notifications.

Actions like Like or Reply inside emails don’t always have a valid target, so clicking them can throw the “Target is not set or not in URL format” error. Email clients often rewrite links, and monday.com emails are meant for notification, not full interaction.

Best workaround is to click “Reply on monday.com” or open the item directly in your browser and interact there.

Thank you @drtanvisachar . You just answered my question simply in that it is a known issue and the need to use a workaround. I guess I should have come here first vs. spending hours with support diagnosing the issue.

Hello @ScottC Thanks for the update, Scott totally understand how frustrating this is, especially after spending time troubleshooting with support.

To clarify, this behavior is a known limitation with monday.com email notifications: links generated using dynamic fields (like board/item links) don’t always render as clickable URLs in notification emails. Unfortunately, this is expected behavior today rather than a misconfiguration on your end.
