it would be nice to directly email a uploaded file directly out of monday vs downloading first.
What are you trying to achieve
to be more efficent and avoid additional download files.

This is actually possible with automations. I literally just built it out today. 
In my example, I used the trigger: “when column changes” and I selected the Files column.
Automation:
The selected portion is the Files column.
Result:
You click on the selected portion and it downloads the file onto the computer.
