Emails and Activities to Update "last touch" column

Description

I have looked at all the convos on email and activities but haven’t seen this exact problem posted since 2022 when it was closed.
I have created several automations in attempting to have a “last touch” column updated anytime something is created in Emails and Activities. I can see that emails to and from clients are being logged, but I can’t figure out how to get this date to transfer over to a column. I understand now that an email is not considered an activity so it can’t update the column on the board, but it seems that this should be do-able.
So - I would like to request that emails that are logged in emails and activities are able to trigger the date update in the appropriate column. Last Touch in my case.
My goal is to be able to look at my client list and quickly see if there is anyone I have not reached out to or heard from lately.

I am trying to be able to see when I last had contact with my clients without digging into each account.

Agreed, It’s a much needed feature for logged emails. Especially if it’s not an email created within Monday, but it’s still is in the feed.
A temporary solution would be these automations with Emails & Activities.

Yes, I have the last automation set up - this is what does not work today. So, every time I email a client, I need to manually update the last contacted, or last touch field.
