The Friction Point: Currently, the monday Campaigns workflow builder allows users to select a Work Management board as a trigger (e.g., “When Status Changes”). However, the workflow fails at the “Send Campaign” action block because the system is hard-coded to only read email addresses from the specific Marketing Contacts entity board.
The User Experience Gap: This creates a “broken promise” in the UI. Users see the option to trigger workflows from their operational boards, but the action block treats the email data as missing/invalid because it cannot map columns from outside the Campaigns product.
What are you trying to achieve
Update the “Send Campaign” action block to allow mapping of Email Columns directly from the trigger board, regardless of whether it is a Work Management, CRM, or Marketing board. This would enable true cross-product interoperability and prevent users from having to duplicate data into a separate “Marketing Contacts” board just to send an email.
