Encoding issue - API calls return incorrect charset

Hi,
I am a bit confused as we had a perfectly functionning API setup. We never specified the charset to be used and always got appropriate results. However,as of this week (02-17-2025), API calls on say, item names, improperly return accents (say “é” as “é”). Our setup hasn’t changed at all in several months.

Does anyone have any insight on to how to resolve this ? I tried using the charset=utf-8 in the API call, but results are no better…

I’m running into this issue as well.

I can’t confirm when it started breaking as non-English characters are a bit rare in our workspace, but the last successful one I can see was Dec 31, 2024.

I ran into the encoding issue as of Feb 17, 2025, potentially earlier.

It’s possible that it was happening earlier.

I only got notifications that it was happening as of the 17th.

FYI, I have determined that the break occured between these hours (eastern standard)
