I’m importing an excel file into the new Sub-item board but I getting an error and the import fails. The problem was two parent items in my import file had more then 99 children/grandchildren. When I reduced the subitems under those parents to 99 it works very nicely.
I can share more info if needed, this is exactly the tool I wanted from monday but the limitations are just barley too restrictive for me.
The article that introduced this new board says the limit was 750 subitems which I’m nowhere close to. Is there a difference because this is an import, or just part of the beta experience?
Hello @Dereks The 750 subitems limit applies to the feature overall, but the Excel import currently has a stricter per parent limit. During import, a single parent item can fail if it has more than 99 subitems or nested rows in the file. That’s why reducing to 99 works, even though you’re well under the total subitem limit.
So yes, this is an import specific limitation and likely part of the beta behavior rather than a hard product cap. After importing, you can still add more subitems manually or via automations.
