Extracting action items from meeting docs

I’ve been playing with pulling action items from meeting docs. The idea being that action items can be tracked from a central view. Maybe convert them more easily into real tasks if that makes sense for the workflow?

I have a weekly meeting minutes doc where I’ve added the action items board to the top. Then as the meeting goes, I write the actions in the minutes themselves, highlight them and transform them into action items.

Ah so you select every action item separately and transform it into an item? I don’t like having to select, pick a board, pick a group, and then it also loses the assigned person.

I do like the idea of embedding whatever the relevant action items board is, and just adding the items directly from the doc. That’s straightforward.
