There seem to be times when an automation is stuck “In Progress”. There needs to be a way to force-stop the automation that appears to be stuck, and start it again.
For example, we have a large number of automations running for a large number of reasons. If I go to my Automations Activity log and see a process that was supposed to run 6 hours ago showing as still In Progress, I should be able to force-stop the automation, then click a button to re-run it…either the full automation, or from a specific starting point.
This is particularly important if anything like what happened last week, happens again…the Monday platform was down for multiple hours. Once the platform was back up, every automation that attempted to run during the downtime was stuck In Progress for hours. I had to create an entirely new automation based on a new field with a manual trigger in order to get everything firing properly. That is absurd and tedious.
This request would apply to “Failed” automations as well. If something specific caused the failure, remedying that issue and clicking a button to re-run the automation would be ideal.
