Have monday.com offer chat SDK and api?

I recently looked into Monday.com for internal communication, but I couldn’t find any built-in API or SDK that would allow us to integrate real chat or instant messaging features. It’s great for project management, but it seems limited when it comes to customizable communication tools.

I also checked out MirrorFly, and they actually do offer a fully customizable solution for instant messaging, along with APIs and SDKs that you can integrate directly into your product or internal systems. If anyone else has tried combining Monday comwith a custom chat solution, I’d be interested to hear how they approached it.

at the moment there is no chat/instant messaging functionality within monday.com. There are some apps in the marketplace and some integrations to other services available that might provide what you are looking for.

We have discussed such solutions with customers (small to enterprise) and the conclusion was/is always - it is not really worth to overcomplicate the use cases. In most cases you can use existing integrations (MS Teams, Slack). With automations updates on items will flow in the communication channel of your choice.
