Is there a way to display a specific board view in the dashboard? For example, I have a view created with specific columns in specific order and group by. I would like to display this view in the dashboard.
Hi @skmdc I was curious on this and gave it a try. I filtered my main board view to a certain status and saved that as a new view. I then added a ‘blank’ view and added a table widget. It added my last table that I filtered, which was the last board view. Give that a try How to display a specific board view in the dashboard | Loom
Thanks for trying @WLane . I think you created a blank view in the board and tried to mimic something like a dashboard using a newly created view based on a filter. However, what I am looking for is to create a Dashboard object (not a view in the board but separate object) and have it display a Table widget from a particular board of a specific view in the board.
Folder
- Board 1 (Has Main Table, View 1 [which has filters on main table], View 2 [Group by a column in the main table])
- Dashboard (Want to add View 2 from Board 1)
Oh I see what you mean. It looks like, for a dashboard with the connected boards, you can add the table widget, but you’d have to re-create your filter and sorting independently. As a workaround, you could generate a share link form view 2 from board 1 and then on the dashboard, add the embed anything widget and embed that shared view. You wouldn’t be able to interact on the table or anything though.
See if anyone else comes up with anything else for you, otherwise that sounds like a great feature request to make.
