How to link a custom status column to the timeline, rather than the default status column?

Hi, I’m new here but cannot find the answer after searching for a while.

I have created a custom status column in the Boards Customization section of the Administration, so that I can preset the different statuses for each of my boards as a template, however I cannot see how to link my custom status column with the timeline column instead of the default status column. Only when changing the default status column does my timeline update but I would like it to update based on my custom status column. Can someone please help?

Hey @sb806!

In order to do this you will first need to remove deadline mode from the timeline column so it disconnects from the original status column:

Once you’ve removed this, you should be able to follow the same steps to sync the new status column:
