HTML Email Customization Limitation in Automations

Currently, the native Monday automation for sending emails is very limited. It only allows plain text and does not support HTML formatting. As a result, we cannot customize emails with line breaks, bold titles, tables, or other styling elements.

We would like the ability to send emails in HTML format through automations, so that we can fully customize the content and formatting, including:

  • Line breaks and spacing

  • Bold and italic text

  • Tables and structured layouts

  • Inline styles for colors and fonts

This feature would greatly enhance our ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional appearance in automated emails.

Hey @DaniloHaddad@DaniloHaddad,

If you are open to use marketplace apps, I suggest to try out SuperMail, it allows you send rich text designed automated emails directly within monday.com.

I understand that this feature is available on the Marketplace, but I believe it should be native to Monday. At my company, we already pay a substantial monthly fee, yet we still have to pay extra to access this functionality.

I’ve escalated this directly to the Monday.com CEO team, and they’ve confirmed it’s actively being worked on. There’s no ETA yet, but I share your frustration.

We shouldn’t need third-party bloatware to make this work. This functionality should be native — especially in 2025. At a minimum, HTML support should be standard. Relying on basic plain text isn’t acceptable and comes across as unprofessional.
