I wish to move my email inbox into monday

Good morning community,

I am wondering if anyone has successfully moved their email inbox into a monday board?

I currently utilise email to board to send certain tasks to certain boards but i would love a centralised board for all emails so I can easily assign people to the task, run automations, and also better track when a task is done

Currently email is the main place that things ‘slip through the cracks’ so to speak.

Would love it if someone has already done this and has it working and can maybe demonstrate this?

Previously someone had reccomended autoforwarding all emails to a board as a solution but I have experimented and cant quite get it to work smoothly with being able to reply etc.

Love your thoughts on this if there is a better solution, or third party app that already solves this too

*Email is Gmail and currently all of my workplaces live in Monday CRM

Do you find limitations with replying back from Monday?

Yeah that is one of the limitations of the email to board,
You then need to flip between email and the board and it creates a bit of a double up, making it less likely to properly manage and mark off the email board.

I also worried about the accuracy of it, is there a chance emails will be missed in the autoforward, I am not sure which is why I was keen to see if anyone else has solved this problem :slight_smile:

If you’re looking for 2-way email communication then monday Service is your best option.

This will create an item for each email thread, and then allow you to send/recieve emails via Emails and Activities.

The CRM product could also work as that gives you access to emails and activites as well, but it doesn’t automatically create an item when a new email is recieved.
