Icon colors in mirror drop down - meaning?

This is going to sound like a silly question, but when I click the drop down to create a mirror column, and I see the available columns from which I can select, there are different colored icons. Does anyone know what the different icons represent. I’m trying to debug a mirror that is not working and wondering if column type has an effect. Many thanks
