Importing Contacts from CRM into Campaigns for Segmentation

I am just starting to use Monday Campaigns and wanting to add my CRM contacts as marketing contacts. The only columns that automatically imports is the contact name and email but I also want other columns so that I can segment my contacts into groups for email campaigns. The only way I have found to do this is to use mirror columns and link it to the CRM board but then I have to manually link each contact in Campaigns to the one in the CRM to populate the mirror columns…that is over 3,000 contacts to manually go through!

There has to be an easier way!

Hi Sarah,

The core problem is that Monday doesn’t have a way to automatically match records across boards when you don’t have a shared unique ID.

What I’d do is:

  1. Export both your CRM and Contact boards to CSV
  2. Merge the 3,000 rows
  3. Re-upload to Monday

The trick is step 2. The problem is that basic joining can miss rows where the names or emails don’t match.

I us a tool called everyrow that matches datasets when there is no unique ID between them. You can try it at everyrow.io/merge. For your case of 3,000 records it takes about 15 minutes, but still better than clicking one-at-a-time, and it should work in the free tier. I did this on two 1,000 row lists of names + emails a few days ago, and it got 95% of them right.

Yes, this is expected behavior. During the Monday Vibe trial, you’re limited in what you can create and test, including being restricted to a single draft app at a time. The ability to maintain multiple drafts and access the full set of Vibe capabilities requires an active subscription.

Other limitations may also apply during the trial depending on the plan, so reviewing the official documentation is recommended before purchasing.

Hello @sunilkumar CRM is the source of truth for contact data. Pulling contacts into Campaigns lets you segment based on real CRM fields, avoid manual CSV imports, keep data up to date, and trigger campaigns automatically as contacts change. Without it, Campaigns stays manual and siloed
