I’m new to Monday, and struggling with the mechanics of importing.
I’m trying to import deals from a previous dataset (before using Monday), to map to accounts already created in Monday.
I’ve linked account name and have it as a column in the deals group, when I use the import tool the fields map out (as i matched csv to fields in deals), but when I go to import it just duplicates the coulmns as text.
Have no idea on how to resolve. Automation rules are really confusing if want to match to the account field!
Imports don’t auto connect. I recommend using this automation template. You’ll need to have a text column for the account (from upload) and then a connected column that’s connected to your accounts board before you do the upload.
Yea, that’s a connected column. There’s another logic automation just like that one that says ‘when column changes…’. Try adding that one too. The connection should happen automatically after that
