Improve People column filtering in reports so results only display the selected individual, even when tasks are shared with others

Description

When filtering a report (for example, a bar chart) by a specific person in a People column, the system currently includes all tasks that person is assigned to — but also shows every other assignee for those same tasks.

For example, if I filter the report to “Me” the graph displays tasks Franz is assigned to, but it also lists the other assigned people as separate entries. This inflates the counts and makes the “tasks per person” view inaccurate.

I’m requesting an enhancement so that when filtering by a specific individual, the report continues to include any shared tasks they are part of, but only displays that person’s data — excluding other assignees from the visual or aggregated results.

What are you trying to achieve

I want to accurately report on the number of tasks associated with a specific person (including shared tasks), but without showing or counting the other assignees. This would make reports like “Tasks per Person” truly reflect the filtered user’s workload or contribution without cross-counting other users.

hi @franzsandil, ueah, that reporting issue drives me nuts too - monday’s native filters tend to overcount when multiple people are assigned.
If you need clean per-user workload or time reporting, check out Time in Status for monday.com .
It gives you accurate “time by user” and “items by user” reports without the overlap, so you can actually see how much each person’s contributing. :fire:
