AI columns can consume data from any column or update for an item. I’d like to be able to have an app feature which could add to the input sources, so that it can consume data from e.g. external systems.
The app feature would be listed in the Where to extract from location in the AI column’s configuration screen.
When triggered, the app would reply with data in the correct format for monday AI to consume, and subsequently populate the AI column.
This ability would add AI capabilities to any app without the necessity to build their own AI infrastructure, either internally in the app, or by offloading it to an external AI system.
This would also mean that monday controls the AI, the terms of service and the data governance for the AI.
Also happily, any AI credits used would be billed by monday and paid to monday 
Currently I have to use an intermediate step, like populate a long_text column (or similar) from my external source, and then use that to feed the “Autofill with AI” column.
The problem here is that the intermediate step will fail (or truncate the data) whenever the content supplied is longer than 2000 characters for a long_text column.
