Hi @chrisflavours - We have a best practice we use for automations you might like. We create a dedicated, non-human seat on our account as our “Automation Bot” user. It does take an extra paid seat to do this, so not everyone wants to use this approach.
Create an Admin user in your monday․com account under a generic email address that no human gets email. After you activate and sign into that account, be sure to change the avatar to something distinct (we use our company logo). Also go to the notifications area for that profile and turn them all off.
Next, you’ll need to add the bot account as a Board Owner on each board you want to use the bot account on.
After you set up your Automations, go to Your Profile > Admin > Users > Automation Ownership - Image 2021-02-18 at 2.00.08 PM and reassign the automations from you to the bot account.
Now you won’t get those automations anymore AND you can tell what was automation vs. human more easily with a glance at the avatar.
I’ve heard rumors that monday․com is considering changing the automation notifications and activity logs to match up with the person that triggered the automation rather than who built it. But I’m not sure if or when that’s coming, so we use this dedicated bot account approach for now.
