Lack of Form Customization Options in Monday Forms

Hi everyone,

I’d like to open a discussion about an important limitation I’ve found in Monday.com forms — the lack of design and customization options for creating more dynamic and visually appealing forms.

Currently, Monday forms only allow adding board fields (columns) as questions, but there’s no way to include display or layout elements that would help structure or visually enhance the form.

For example, it’s not possible to add:

  • Display Text: titles (H1, H2), subtitles, or custom descriptions.

  • Navigation & Layout: collapsible sections, dividers, custom HTML blocks, or intermediate headings.

  • Media: images, videos, or even PDF viewers to provide context or supporting materials.

This is quite limiting — especially considering that Monday is a paid platform — while tools like fillout.com offer all of these features even in their free version.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Suggestion: It would be great if Monday could add the ability to include:

  • Custom text and headings

  • Embedded images and videos

  • Dividers and collapsible sections

  • HTML or informational content blocks

These features would greatly improve both the visual presentation and the user experience of Monday forms.

Has anyone else encountered this limitation or found a creative workaround within the Monday ecosystem?

Hi @evertp@evertp,

As you asked for a workaround, If you are open to marketplace apps, you can try SuperForm.

It has the ability to add text blocks that are HTML supported. You can also create pages and two columns one next to the other. Pictures are on the roadmap.

I agree - the lack of even a basic text box for additional context is very restrictive! I make heavy use of question descriptions and sometimes use the question field as an intro to the section and the description to ask the first question. Visually it’s pretty wonky but helps add a touch of structure.
