Live Gantt Chart

Hi community,

After talking to dozens of monday.com users, we noticed a pattern: aligning timelines with clients often turns into this loop:

Export Gantt → attach PDF → send email → wait for feedback → update timeline → export again → resend.

Repeat. And repeat. And repeat.

Somewhere along the way:

:no_entry: no one remembers which version is the latest
:no_entry: timeline changes get buried in long emails
:no_entry: approvals take days
:no_entry: testing gets delayed
:no_entry: last-minute pressure before launch becomes inevitable

We kept hearing this during our Gantt interviews — so we built something to address this exact workflow.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Introducing Interactive Gantt for monday.com

It doesn’t replace monday’s native Gantt.
It adds an external collaboration layer for working with clients and stakeholders outside your workspace.

Keep using monday.com’s Gantt internally — and share Interactive Gantt Timeline with clients externally.

What changes in practice

:speech_balloon: Comment and discuss directly on the Gantt
:memo:Let clients suggest timeline changes visually (no monday.com account required)
:test_tube:Test how changes impact the timeline before approving
:white_check_mark: Approve or reject changes and sync them back to monday automatically

This is how the whole workflow in short:

Interactive Gantt

We’re opening early testers access and looking for feedback from PMs, agencies, consultants, and delivery teams who:

• work with external clients
• align timelines over email or calls
• are tired of PDF chaos and slow feedback loops

If this sounds painfully familiar, we’d love to hear from you.

Drop a comment, and I’ll share early access details.

Also, you can install the app and play around with it on your account.

Hello @Iryna_Belaya
You’ll want to invite them as a Guest. Guests can only access the specific shareable boards you invite them to, not your full account.

To add them
Go to Administration → Users → Invite users → select Guest

You can then control whether they have view or edit access on those boards.

If you’d like hands-on help or want us to walk through this live, you can book a 1:1 paid 60-minute strategy session with our team here:

Hi @drtanvisachar ,

Thank you for jumping in!

Inviting clients as Guests can work in some cases, but in practice it often doesn’t solve the core problem.

Many clients aren’t familiar with monday.com and don’t want to navigate a new system just to review a timeline.

Sharing internal boards can also expose structure and information they don’t need to see. And while permissions can be limited, external users can still affect the setup, leaving PMs without a safe way to review or test suggested changes before they impact the live board.

That’s exactly the gap we kept hearing about from monday.com users.

Interactive Gantt Timeline was built to address this: clients see only the timeline view, can suggest changes and comment, and PMs stay in full control with an approval flow before anything updates the board.

Different tools for different workflows — we’re simply offering an option for teams that collaborate with external stakeholders on timelines frequently.
