Live updating from one board to another

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me?

I have multiple different boards. Each board is for different stages for a number of projects. i.e in planning board , in progress board, on hold board.
I want to have a separate ‘overview’ board where all information from my other boards is kept.

I have tried multiple different automations to copy the information from one of the boards to my overview board, but every time I do a new update on one of my board items the overview board creates a new item line, duplicating it.

Try a seperate dashboard, where you can connect all the boards together and filter the information you need. All over that you can use the dashboard settings to change the view of the dashboard

Maybe try using one board for all stages, and create different views to filter the items by stages?
