Fantastic news! Although I can´t find the setting in all tabs (i.e. “Main table” and a tab for Docugen settings) - are this setting only available for some tabs? The ability for non-board owners / admins to be able to edit the “Main table” (or even better, not to see it at all) is crucial for us so this is not an optimal solution unfortunately.

It appears that using “Lock View” prevents users from exporting the data associated with the view. Can you please separate Export from Lock View? I want to use Lock View to prevent my users from accidentally rearranging the order of widgets or from saving different filters, but its crucial that they be able to export the data.

100% agree and have very similar use case to the one listed out by Caroline McKinnon back in Aug 2021. My main table view is more like an admin view and would be so valuable to me if I could as the admin hide this view from the every day users.

For us, the main table is an admin view, there’s a ton of columns which shouldn’t be visible to every day users. Having the option to make the ‘Main Table’ hidden, along with other views, would be advantageous.

This is so critical for it to be clean, intuitive and manageable for different roles and teams. It’s not set up to be a scalable solution without this feature (IMO). I want to know where on the roadmap this is sitting since without this I may need to opt for a different solution. 2024 is almost here, but that’s a long 12 month window.
There’s another issue with the board views. At the moment, every time you will add columns in your board. These columns are added automatically to all filtered views in that board. So lets say you have a view that displays only 3 columns. When the admin adds 3 more columns to the board in any view whatsoever. These 3 new columns are added to all the other views by default, unless someone removes them manually inside all those other views. ‘Not scalable’ is the keyword. Lets hope this gets fixed too or is configurable via settings.
Agree with @MMatharu - if the Hide Main Table is considered a separate feature - can you please add the link to that feature here? It is a crucial part of this feature request - if the private views being a 2024 is a separate feature request can you include a link to that as well?
Both of these are HUGE features to help adoption of this product. Currently neither private boards nor permissions meet the needs to be able to control visibility on sensitive items but not all items without having to have separate boards which hurts productivity.
Alternatively, a people column to say “lock visibility to only people in this column” without that adding to their My work/ownership would be another work around.

Unfortunately Lock View does not prevent new columns from being added to every view. The lock view only prevents users from adding existing columns, or deleting them. It is still very time consuming to go through every view and hide new columns that are created on the main table.
@Amanda, exactly! Every time I setup a view for someone in another department I have to explain why their view keeps changing and new columns are being added all the time. I understand Monday is rolling out Monday DB. But fixing small details like this would go a loong way for the end users.
I need to be able to hide views for certain members of my team. Without this it is not a clean solution.
It seems a lot of people asking for this and is a very important feature for people.
I am trying to sell this solution to my work and without this feature it is very hard

@Amanda We received the feature on our account were new columns are not added by default on all views. This is really great! Next up, the ability to have personal views. And to be able to reorder them ‘à la’ ///“insert your favorite web browser here///”.
With the new hiding feature for subitem columns this request is crucial.
We’re now able to create pretty sophisticated boards/views, keeping lot’s of info on one board.
Locking views & their order for all the board users + hiding main table for all, except owners of the board, would be great.

A vital and pretty fundamental requirement this. Everyone should have control over what their different team members see versus what an admin sees. this is so fundamental to any online, team / group based service / platform. Please get this implemented urgently.
