Long Text Columns need to include line breaks. The fact that the cell removes line breaks it incredibly frustrating and is driving my users away from monday and back to spreadsheets. Long Text needs to be to be read as it is input including line breaks.
Please fix this as soon as possible.
Hello @Michael55 Totally hear the frustration. Line breaks matter for readability, especially when teams are moving from spreadsheets.
Right now, the Long Text column doesn’t reliably preserve visible line breaks in all views. The best workaround is to use the Updates section for formatted notes, or use Docs for anything that needs clean spacing and structure.
You can also submit this directly as a product feature request. The product team does review those and it’s the best way to influence changes like this.
